They cleaned her house

Do you remember our neighbor, Cathy?  She was super old when I bought this house, she may have died before you moved in, before we got married, before I was pregnant with C.  I honestly don't remember when she died.

Anyways, afterwards her son was using her poor little rundown house as a storage unit so he could hoard more things, remember that?  That always bothered you.

Well, you'll be happy to hear that today there was an industrial cleaning van parked in the driveway for hours.  I took the boys to Chik-Fil-A for dinner and on our way home, I passed the van at a stoplight.  The driver was wiping his face.  He looked like it had been a long day.

It's been a long two weeks, Neil.  Two weeks ago today.

The last time we were at Chik-Fil-A you were with us.  When we got there tonight, C recognized a little girl from his class.  He wanted to go say hi.  So I took them both over to say hi.  She was just leaving with her mom and two sisters - one older, one a baby.  When I told her mom that C wanted to say hi, her face flashed that recognition people are having now.  She suddenly remembered who C was, what happened to his dad, or that his dad is gone, then she glanced at me, then she held her breath.  I just said "OK! We'll see you Monday!" and turned around.  I didn't want to talk about you just then, Neil.  Not with a lady who didn't know you.  Not at Chik-Fil-A, with the kids.

We miss you.
